1. Papaver罂粟属，是罂粟科下的一属植物，约有100多个物种。是一年生、二年生及多年生植物，广布在欧亚大陆、非洲及北美洲的温带及寒冷区域。罂粟属的花朵有两个花萼，4个花瓣或重瓣；可以是红色、粉红色、橙色、黄色或紫色。复雌蕊周围有几环雄蕊。柱头在蒴果之上，柱头的数量是与合生心皮的数量有关。子房会发育成为开裂的蒴果，干了的柱头会盖在其上。子房内有大量细小的种子，并会以孔裂方式来散播种子。罂粟属一直都有重要的医药疗效。茎上的乳胶可以造成皮肤敏感，而罂粟的乳胶则含有麻醉生物碱，包括吗啡及可待因。
